Following the news that the National Museums of the Royal Navy (NMRN) would be taking all content development in-house, AKA introduced and positioned sister-agency Digital Media Services as the go-to experts to support the client as they created this new team in Portsmouth – whether for film, edit or creative development. Since being introduced, DMS have worked seamlessly alongside the creative team at NMRN to deliver two key projects for the AKA UK Group.
The first launched this month; a television commercial supporting Portsmouth Historic Dockyard’s summer campaign and the Horrible Histories Exhibition, with TV, cinema and online booked by AKA North. The investment and growth of the project was testament to a strong idea being executed with real thought and understanding of the client; and the end product is breath-taking!
In addition, DMS also worked with the Fleet Air Arm Museum, after NMRN secured the backing to develop the first television commercial for this unique venue. This second project for AKA and DMS included script development, filming on site and full project management. Filming was scheduled across two days on site in Yeovil with a full cast and crew incorporating interior and external shots plus drone footage.
The commercial also launched this month on ITV, YouTube and online booked by AKA North.
