This past weekend, Leeds Playhouse opened its doors to the public after a £16m year-long refurbishment. This October has been the new building’s opening month, culminating in the Opening Weekend over the 11th – 13th of October, with a programme of events celebrating openness. With guided tours, family-friendly workshops and behind-the-scenes access, Leeds Playhouse is welcoming back visitors who have long loved the Playhouse, as well as new visitors who have never been before. With a new restaurant, bar and coffee shop as well as increased accessibility throughout the building, the refurbishment aims to welcome everyone with open arms.
AKA have been working alongside Leeds Playhouse to promote the new opening, through a range of digital audio and social activity. Targeted at previous visitors and prospecting for new ones, this activity aligns with & plays off the activity for the Autumn season and the Christmas Wizard of Oz campaign. It’s all kicking off at Leeds Playhouse, and we’re happy to be part of the exciting new chapter!
